Dombivli - Medical stores in Kalyan-Dombivli remained closed today as a part of a nationwide strike against the Centre’s stand on online pharmacies.
The medical stores in the city actively participated in the strike. The Dombivli Medical (Welfare) Chemist Association led this strike.
Alleging that the online sell of medicine is playing with the lives of patients and citizens, medics have alleged that e-pharmacies are selling narcotic drugs in the name of medicines.
In Kalyan, Dombivli and adjoining suburbs, around 1000 medical stores remained closed.
In Dombivli, the strike was led by Dombivli Medical (Welfare) Chemist Association President Dilip Deshmukh, Treasurer Rajesh Korpe and secretary Balu Nehete.
