New overbridge at Dombivli railway station soon

Dombivli - The construction of a new overbridge to replace the existing one at Kalyan end on the Dombivli railway station will be started in two months, informed Sanjay Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Central Railway.

The existing overbridge was built in 1980 and it will be demolished on completion of the proposed new bridge, Jain added. DRM Jain was in the city for inspection of the railway station.

Mr. Jain inspected all the platforms, all the entry points, ticket booking counters, toilets, railway overbridges and escalators for around two hours.

The DRM expressed his displeasure over the condition of cleanliness at the railway station premises and instructed the concerned accordingly. He directed the canteen owners to maintain hygiene or face the action.

Mr. Jain instructed the local railway officials to hold regular meetings with the KDMC officials in case of uncleanliness outside railway station entry points.
