Glaucoma Week: Awareness rally in Dombivli on Sunday


Free eye check-up organised


 Dombivli - To mark the ‘Glaucoma Week’ to be observed between March 10 to 16, an awareness rally has been organised here on Sunday. 

 The Maharashtra Ophthalogical Society, Anil Eye Hospital and Gopal Krishna Charitable Trust will joint organised this awareness rally, informed Ophthalmologist Dr. Anagha Heroor.
The ‘Glaucoma Week’ is observed across the world during March 10 to 16 every year. The need of creating greater glaucoma awareness is felt across the platforms as the affected person usually does not know that he/she has got affected by it. The number of glaucoma patients is steadily increasing in the world as it gets neglected while conducting the check up of our eyes.

The organisers have decided to conduct free of cost eye check up of 300 patients. 

The awareness rally, to be participated by over 100 doctors and persons from medical fraternity, will be started off from the Shivaji statue on Manpada Road and will conclude on Phadke Road. 

The eminent personalities including experts will guide people on this occasion. The organisers have also planned a street play to take it maximum people.
